Comments: My St. Bernard was breathing heavy so he was seen by my vet. My vet didn't have the equipment to check him for what he thought was layringial paralysis. He recommended we take him to VSE. He was seen at VSE in October 2009. They charged us $100 to diagnose him. Dr.Sabernagle said he thought it was the paralysis and it wasn't life threatening. So we asked if it could wait till January 2010. He said yes. Then in February 2010 my St. Bernard couldn.t walk. I called VSE and talked to Sabernagle he still didn't have a clue. He said it could be a nerve deteriorating disease. Then I took him back to VSE and Dr. Edinger said they would do all kinds of tests on him. Then after all the tests Edinger said they couldn't find anything and charged me another $1300. Dr.Edinger said he wasn't in any pain and said he could have a slipped disc or tumor or something. So I took my dog home. I then called Edinger and asked if the walking wheels would help. Edinger said yes. We tried the wheels it was a disaster. My dog couldn't stand it as he wasn't strong enough. My dog was in so much pain we had to put him down in April of 2010. VSE was the worst thing I did to my dog.  If you want to check them out, be my guest.  Their Website is www.vetspecialtycare.com/

Comments:
This vet has been my cats', and rabbit's vet. She is very friendly and generally cares about the animals. However, she constantly pressures us to spend more and do more tests on our perfectly healthy animals. We aren't rich so it is a little upsetting to be pressured to spend more.

Dr. Stehr
Clinic Name: And Dogs Too
Address: 2508 Allen Blvd.
City: Middleton
State  WI
Zip Code  53562
Phone: (608) 836-0010

Comments:
I've been going to this vet clinic for more than 20 years. Dr. Stehr is a wonderful vet and very compassionate towards them. The staff is friendly as well as the other vets in the office. One of the nice features of this vets office is that he makes house calls.  My only complaint is that he is not equipped to do some procedures. He tends to refer you to other vets or the UW Vet Hospital, which is quite expensive.

Comments:  I just started going to this vet on a recommendation from a friend. Both veterinarians are very good and really seem to connect with my dogs. Their prices are very reasonable.  I haven't used the pet resort as they seem to fill up fast. Staff is friendly and are interested in knowing about your pets. I would highly recommend this vet office.  Website is www.pineviewvethospital.com

Comments:  Dr Jeff and his staff are the best. The rates are sooo much better than our local vet. We drive 45 minutes to get there but definately very much worth the drive. We have been going there for almost 9 months now. We have taken 3 of our dogs there and they are all healthy. On their card it even says  "Quality Veterinary Care at Competitive Prices". I highly suggest going there. Here is their website.. check them out. www.marshviewvetclinic.com .. take care!

Comments: Best vet I've ever met, and I've had a lot of vets. They're knowledgeable and caring, more upfront about costs than any vet EVER, and they don't appear to be funded by any companies trying to sell you stuff. They're interested in nutrition and alternative techniques, but they're not hokey, either. Amazing, amazing vets.  Their website is: www.wholepetclinic.com

Comments: Dr. Collins and her staff are some of the most compassionate, caring people you will meet.  I have known Dr. Collins since 2002 when she was at a different clinic, and have stayed with her, as she is an amazing, knowledgeable veterinarian.  She opened her own clinic in 2010, which is a nice, comfortable facility, which provides extras from dentistry to surgery, even accupuncture and reiki, and an in-house lab. When you have an appointment, you leave feeling like she had all the time in the world for your pet.  She goes above and beyond for her patients!  They have a website, www.saukpointvet.com

Comments: Thank you for this site!

However, I am so surprised to see two of my favorite doctors listed with negative comments.

I have had several pets treated by Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Care and always received the best care possible.

One of my dogs was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis and Dr. Edinger talked to me at length about the risks of surgery and what to expect. He didn't perform a bunch of unnecessary tests and always involved me in the decision making process.

Everyone that I have ever met or spoken to at Veterinary Specialty have been nothing but wonderful and supportive.  They always remember me and my pets when we come in for an appointment.

If you every need a specialist, I would whole heartedly recommend this clinic.

Comments:
If you are looking for an emergency care facility, this is a great place.  Office visit fee is a little high at $75, but the quality of care and compassion of the veterinarians are wonderful.  I dealt with Jody Thompson for my dog. She had an eye ulcer and she was wonderful and making her feel comfortable while procedures where being done.  Call ahead to see if they are busy. Sometimes you wait 1-3 hours if they are busy or have a lot of emergencies. Their website is:  www.veterinaryemergencyservice.com

Comments: I took my dog here because my vet recommended that she see a Chiropractor.  They quoted me $100 over the phone but when I got there I ended up spending over $200.  It didn't seem like they did much on the first visit so I made another appointment for a home visit. I thought my dog would be more comfortable at home. All she did was massage my dogs back, legs and neck. I could have done that myself. Although I have to say that she was very relaxed afterward and did sleep a bit.  They might be a good vet for other things, but I would not recommend Chiropractic services on your dog. It's not worth the money.  Their website is:  www.chiropracticforanimals.net

Comments: The doctors and staff at Columbus Countryside Veterinary Clinic have been caring for my animals (cats and dogs) for over 5 years.  They are WONDERFUL!  Their prices are reasonable and they understand treating an animal on a budget.  They keep up with the latest trends in treatments and medications and are always willing to spend the time to help you fully understand what is going on with your pet.  I feel tremendously blessed to have found them.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  www.columbusvet.vetsuite.com

Comments: Downright scary! Unnecessary tests.  Inexperienced staff. Lack of equipment. Geared entirely toward money and not toward the animals at all.  Tells everyone their animal has allergies and then charges a ton of money for allergy medication and testing. Bad bad bad!

Comments: Sun Prairie Pet Clinic is awesome. They treat ever concern we have genuinely and they are always honest in giving all options for treatment or pet care. Unlike many vets I have used they rarely recommend the most expensive treatment first - they usually give their honest recommendation and then let me know every treatment option I have. My pets love the Dr and are excited to get to the vet - which is a new experience for me. We couldn't recommend this vet more - reasonable rates and high quality care.  www.sunprairiepetclinic.com

Comments:  I'm not sure why anybody would take their pet to this particular veterinarian. They did nothing for my dog but generate a big bill.  They sent me home with pills that I didn't even need, and I was scheduled to see one vet and instead they gave me a vet that was barely out of vet school. Plus they are way too expensive.  The only good thing about them is the location.  http://www.banfield.net/

Comments:
The vet school is a very good place to go when your vet cannot help your pet. I would especially recommend them for pets with cancer or terminal illnesses. They are a little expensive, but in the end the cost is far better than losing your pet. Be prepared to wait a fair amount of time to see the vet and get their diagnosis. I've been there at least 5 or 6 times and each time it is a half day commitment.  http://www.vetmed.wisc.edu/home

Comments: I took my ferrets into see Dr. Christman on the recommendation of the Emergency Service in Madison.  They see a large number of ferrets and small mammals and have much more knowledge about these types of pets over any other vet I have ever taken my pets too.  I now take my cat and two dogs to them after they took such fantastic care of my ferrets.  They have very friendly staff and are a small personal clinic who take the time to get to know you and your pets.  They are also open late on Tuesdays and Thursdays for those who have to work. http://healthypetvetclinic.com/

Comments: Avoid at all costs.  If you want your pet to experience great pain and indifferent care, this is the place for you.  Shortly after moving to Madison, we took our dog to him for a simple spaying.  She had more pain and discomfort afterwards than any other pet we've ever had did with the same surgery.  Since then, I found out that many locals have horror stories about taking their animals for treatment here.  You've been warned.  http://petinaryclinic.com/

We brought a healthy female rabbit for spay. The doctor just called to tell us  the rabbit is dead. She claimed that the bunny did very well after the procedure but had a seizure and died after the "attempted CPR".  I want to warn others to take their rabbits somewhere else.  This is horrible.  http://www.overlandvetclinic.com/

Comment: I took my dog Roxie in for shots, nail trimmed, and for them to look at her infected ear. After they administered the shots and looked at her ear. They tried to cut her nails but she resisted. This is when they put her on the table but to get her to lay down Dr. Shepard grabbed her around the neck and around her stomach and body slammed her on the table and held her down. She was so scared that she pooped on herself. My dog is scared of men as a result of being abused by her previous owner. They have known this since her first visit.

Comments: Do not use this vet. We took our dog in to be spayed and 21 hours she passed away. It had to have been something that was done during surgery because she was perfectly fine and healthy before we took her in. We called Dr.Becka as soon as it happened at 5:30am and did not hear back from him until 8am. We drove back up to the vet where we demanded a refund for the surgery. Dr. Becka continued to argue with us for about 20 minutes. It was not until we asked for all of our dogs records that Dr. Becka tensed up and became very nervous looking and then told us that he would refund the money. The money is not an issue, the fact that we had to bury our 3 year old dog is.

Comments: We adopted a kitten from this C & D Animal Hospital on Wednesday 4.20.11.   The lady running the place is named Brandi Tomko. They did not appear to have a regularly scheduled vet on site. She was calling for "substitute" vets to come in while I was there. Nor to they have regular operating hours posted on the door.

Our kitty was scheduled for declawing on Thursday 4.21.11 and to come home on Friday.  They didn't answer their phone or return my calls for 2 days. Finally on Saturday late afternoon we picked up our new kitty and one paw was still wrapped up.  When Brandi removed the bandadges from the other and it was bleeding. Brandi came out covered in blood from the back room.I said is that his blood, from his foot, she said yes.  I don't think a vet even did the surgery, I am concerned that Brandi did it herself because she doesn't have a vet on the schedule. Today 4.26.11 we took our kitty to Green Animal Hospital a very good vet and found out that his wrapped foot now has an infection.  We want to report C & D animal hospital, but don't know where to go.  Someone needs to inspect this facility.  We don't trust them with any animals.  We will not take our kitty there again.  Others need to be warned! http://preciouslives.com/

Comments: I'd like to add to a previous responder's complaint about this clinic.  In April of 2011, they indeed did not have a regular vet, but were using on-call vets as needed.  Apparently, they fired the regular vet for some comments made to a client, but I wonder if that is true.  I never had a problem with her - Melissa Fisher, DVM.  I did have my dog there at that time (4/21/11) for routine exam and vaccinations. I do not recall the name of the on-call vet who saw her that day.

I had been taking my special-needs dog there for years, as they seemed to know exactly how to handle her.  However, over the past year or so, things got weird.  It was extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone and I had to place SEVERAL phone calls before anyone would call me back.  In October of 2010, my dog was scheduled for a routine dental.  I had been trying to get this done since the July of 2010, but they said they couldn't get the required Propofol.  Finally, we arrive there on the scheduled date to find my dog could not have the dental as the vet had been in an accident.  Over the next few months, I tried to get this rescheduled.  Finally, in the early spring of 2011, it was rescheduled for March.  Upon arriving I was told she could not have the procedure as they feared she had Addison's disease (after reviewing the pre-surgical blood work) which required a special test to be done which would take a few hours.  We arrived a couple of days later for the test.  My dog sat there for 6 hours before anyone drew the blood work and sat there for another 2 hours for the second blood draw!  The result?  Inconclusive!  A specialist I had been taking my cat to said that that result was confusing - either they have it or they don't.  I took my dog to him after I managed to get the blood work results from C&D (another week of problematic phone calls).  He saw nothing in the results that led him to believe she had Addison's.  Why didn't they review the blood work prior to my arriving that day?  I live one hour away from that clinic and I was supposed to drop her off and go to work!

Since our appt. in March of 2011, it had been impossible to get anyone to answer the phone and when I did get someone, there were constant excuses by Brandi Tomko about the phone being broken. I needed to schedule the dental and a cyst removal. She kept assuring me she'd call me back, but never did.  (As afore-stated, I did manage to get her there for a routine visit in April)

Finally, in the latter part of June, I got ahold of Hope, the vet tech and asked about scheduling Kaela for the dental and cyst removal when she asked if I'd spoken to Brandi.  I told her she was to return my calls, but never did.  She drew a long breath, and told me the clinic was closing within a week!  When I asked why Brandi had never told me this, she just stated that she was having personal problems.  Hope assured she'd try to send me my dog's records, adding she thought she'd be there another week.  She added that the owner of the business, Kelli Bush, had recently married and moved to Florida where her parents had bought a home for her.  Hope added that Kelli's father had recently been in to inventory the equipment to see what could be sold.  Kelli's parents were instrumental in the closing of this clinic as they never approved of the business and constantly interfered.

I have never received my dog's records which are vital to maintaining her health.  I cannot seem to find any of them.  I am seriously considering legal action.

Long story short - it's out of business!

Comments: I posted on this web-site initially about Brandi Tomko and the mistreatment of animals at C & D Animal Hospital.  The C & D Animal Hospital was closed down in April 2011, as stated by another by Candida MacDonald. (another contributor)

Yesterday 10.17.11 the Akron, OH Summitt County Prosecutor's office called me stating they were going file charges against Brandi Tomko regarding complaints about animal abuse and even deaths. They want information if you and your pet had issues with C & D Animal Hospital and Brandi Tomko.

*** If you and/or your pet has been a victim, please contact the Summit County Prosecutors Office in Akron, OH ***

After of October 18, 2011, they are building a case against her.  Hope this helps some of you get justice on behalf of your beloved pet.

Comments: I volunteered to foster a dog that had been surrendered to this vet clinic in May 2011. This dog was very shy, scared and timid. In the 6 months that we had him he came out of his shell, wasn't as scared, was playing and got comfortable with us.

A few days ago I noticed he was a little hunched over but didn't think anything of it. The next day I noticed after letting him out to go bathroom he didn't follow me up the stairs like he normally does but sat there. So I picked him up and brought him inside. I tried it again put him at the bottom of the other stairs and called him and he tried to come up but didn't. So I was concerned something was wrong as he's 8 years old. I called the lady that asked me to foster a nurse at the vet office and left her a message about my concern. The next morning he had urinated in his crate which he usually doesn't do and so I let him out to go bathroom and again noticed he was hunched over and wouldn't follow me up the stairs. So this time I called directly to the vet to make an appointment to bring him in.

We got in about 12 noon wasn't seen until 12:45ish and when the nurse was telling me what the costs would be almost $500 I stated that I couldn't afford that right now and I didn't realize that I was responsible for that payment as I was fostering him for them. So the nurse left and then a few minutes later the vet blond lady came in very rude. She was talking as she was walking in the door to one of the nurses about putting a dog to sleep... I wasn't sure if she was talking about him or another dog that came in before us so I was like ,"ahh." And she just looked at me and said, "well?" while giving me a look. By the way didn't say hello or hi to me or my 3 kids that were with me in the room waiting. She just came in and said ,"This dog is emaciated, skin and bones. Why didn't you do something?" I said , "I feed him twice a day and he even leaves food in the bowl sometimes. How do I make him eat more?" She said ,"Why didn't you call (the nurse that asked me to foster) that he was emaciated?"

Mind you this is a toy poodle, small and skinny already and has hair all over that I'm not an expert that I can tell he's skinny thru curly thick hair.

She then just grabs him and says, "he's too skinny and that's it." Then she just takes him and leave the room. The nurse was looking at me because I looked dumbfounded like , okay what just happened?

And the nurse said, "so I guess we'll just keep him here and you don't have to worry about him?" She said, " we'll run tests and see what's wrong with him because he did have a liver problem before so that could be why he's skinny." She was helpful and could tell I was confused as to what just happened just as she was. And then we just left. My kids were looking at me and asking... where's Star (the dog) why are we leaving him here?

I can't explain how upset this made me... I was helping this vet out and she treats me like I was mistreating this dog. Didn't say thank you, didn't explain the situation what was going on, nothing! Mind you we've had him for 6 months now , gotten attached and love this dog and she acts like we neglected him! How does she expect to have people want to help foster dogs for her if this is how she treats them.

Not only that the dog was a male, she kept calling him a she. Not ONCE in the 6 months that I fostered him did they come and visit my home to see if I was suitable to take care of him, not once call to check up on him and his progress and she has the nerve to treat me like I was the one who didn't care for this dog. Apparently she works with animals because she doesn't know how to work with people.  http://www.altavistavetclinic.com/

Comments:  On Monday, January 31, 2011 I took my cat Zahara to Bay Hill Cat Hospital because she had stopped eating, drinking, urinating or defecating.  She also was very weak.

I received a call from Dr. Diane Delmain later that morning indicating that she had run tests (blood work, x-rays) and could not find anything wrong, other than a slight elevation in her white blood count.  Her heart, lungs, mouth, stomach, liver, kidney, and stomach all looked good.  I inquired to whether she could give a broad spectrum antibiotic but she said she would not do so because she needed to know what caused the white blood count to be elevated.  Dr.  Delmain suggested I put tuna fish juice on her food in hopes it would encourage Zahara to eat.

I tried the tuna fish juice as Dr. Delmain suggested but Zahara still did not eat.  By Tuesday morning Zahara seemed to be even weaker.  I took Zahara back to Dr. Delmain on Wednesday, February 2nd.  By mid-morning Dr. Delmain had called to tell me that Zahara was very ill. She had taken additional x-rays(without my authorization) of the same area and now the x-rays was showing that Zahara had heart problems, fluid on the lungs and a large mass behind her stomach by her pancreas which looked like cancer.

Dr.  Delmain said there was nothing she could do for Zahara.  She suggested that without an ultrasound she couldn't say for certain if it was cancer.  I asked what could be done and Dr. Delmain said very little, but I should not let her suffer.
I was encouraged to and then made the decision to euthanize Zahara but told Dr. Delmain I would pick Zahara up so the family could say our good byes.  Dr. Delmain tried to discourage me from taking Zahara home saying she could experience breathing problems during the night and it would scare her and us because she could be flopping around gasping for air.  I still chose to bring her home.

On Thursday morning  Zahara was still alive and when I looked at her she gave me a look like "please help me", so my husband and I decided to have the ultra sound performed to get a definitive diagnosis.

On Monday, February 7th, I again took Zahara back to Dr. Delmain to have the ultrasound done.  That afternoon Dr. Delmain called to tell me she had good news, Zahara did not have cancer after all but instead had fatty liver disease and that it was treatable and that Zahara had a 75% chance of full recovery.

Within one week I had received three very different diagnoses from Dr. Delmain for Zahara.
When I picked Zahara up that afternoon I spoke with Dr. Delmain to see how fatty liver disease could be treated.  Dr. Delmain said we could either force feed Zahara or have a feeding tube put in.  There was risk with putting the feeding in.  Zahara was so weak there was a possibility she wouldn't make it through the surgery or there could be infection.

I asked Dr. Delmain if I could bring Zahara every day so they could feed her twice a day and then we could feed her in the evening when we got home from work. Dr. Delmain said it would be too much work for her staff, but if I allowed her to put the feeding tube in she would be willing to have me leave Zahara there for them to feed her. I was so upset at what Dr. Delmain said.  It made me feel as though she only wanted to run tests that were costly but really did not care for the well-being Zahara. I took Zahara home and on Wednesday, February 9th took Zahara for a second opinion.

I took Zahara to see Dr. Jason Palm.  After reviewing Zahara's record from Dr. Delmain (initially Dr. Delmain's office did not want to provide me with her records) and running some blood work, Dr. Palm  concluded that Zahara had a very bad infection.  She in fact did not have fatty liver disease. Dr. Palm gave Zahara with a broad spectrum antibiotic and a week later another dose.  I am happy  to say that Zahara recovered within a week and eight months later is still doing well. I have filed this complaint because the misdiagnosis of my cat Zahara almost resulted in her being euthanized. Additionally, I believe Dr. Delmain was more interested in performing tests and surgery at a great expense to me, rather than treating Zahara's symptoms.  On the other hand, Dr. Jason Palm diagnosed Zahara correctly from blood tests at minimal cost.

I hope that others do not have the same experience that I had with Dr. Delmain and therefore, I have provided this narrative and complaint.  http://www.bayhillcathospital.com/

Comments: I've been going to this clinic for almost 2 years and have never had any problem until I ran into Dr. Scott. I had two visits with him in which both he was rude to me. He was very rude when I asked questions concerning my dog. For my first visit with him, he informed me that she had an infection and gave me medicine for that. When I returned for a check-up, he said she had allergies. I just asked what was going on since I was told something different during the first appointment. He gave me a very nasty attitude when I asked. His behavior was very unprofessional! I pulled my dogs' charts and informed him that I would not be returning. I don't have to pay for a nasty attitude. Period!

Comments: I am the one who got C&D Animal Hospital on Brittain Road in Akron, Ohio closed down and Brandi Tomko is about to go to prison for impersonating a doctor, theft by deception, distributing expired drugs to pets, and practicing without a license.  This woman has no medical training at all and she killed my Dog back in April of 2011.  She made up her own diagnosis and treated him with expired drugs and killed him!  Below is my story.

This is the statement I plan to read in court when the Monster that killed Charlie gets sentenced.

My name is Kenny Reymann.  I have never been married and have no children.  I have been a Dog lover my whole life and have 3 Dogs that I rescued.  I purchased my home in 1999 and my first Dog at this address was Charlie.  Once in a lifetime, that one Dog comes into your life that really really leaves a mark on your heart like no other before, Charlie was that Dog, he was my best friend and when he died it was like losing my teenage son.

In April of 2011 Charlie fell ill and was not eating very much so I took him to C&D Animal Hospital on Brittain Road in Akron.  The Doctor's name was Brandi Tomko.  She took a blood sample and gave him a shot of Antibiotics and said she would call me when the results came in.  A few days later she called me frantically saying that Charlie's Kidneys were failing and that he needed to be hospitalized immediately and that she could give him at least three more years to live.  Of course I took my buddy right up there and admitted him, Brandi would only accept cash for payment so I gave her $200.00 for starters on top of the $183.00 I paid at the first visit.  Before I left Charlie there, Brandi forced a Catheter into Charlie and took a Urine sample.  She was teaching the office girl how to run the test.  She inserted the sample into a microscope looking device and held it up to the light.  Brandi then confirmed that Charlie was in Kidney failure.  She assured me that she would take great care of him and that he would be alright.

For four long days I would drive to the hospital every night after work to visit Charlie and he looked worse each day.  He would not eat anything and appeared to be starving, he would only drink water and was losing weight.  His arms were shaved and he had an IV in one of his arms.  After three days I became suspicious after noticing Brandi driving around what appeared to be an older Ford Tempo.  What Doctor drives a Car like that?

After work on the 4th day, I went there again and Brandi Tomko released him to me and said Charlie would get better.  She wrote me a prescription for some special food, gave me a bag of pills and stomach relaxers to take home to give to Charlie.  She didn't ask me for any more money.   I took Charlie home and picked up his special prescription food for him.  That night he still refused to eat, but he seemed to be in much better spirits because he was finally back home where he wanted to be, and my other dogs were very happy that he was home.  I was feeling pretty good now that my boy was home and knowing that he was slowly going to pull out of it gave me comfort.

That evening before I went to bed, I laid down with Charlie and gave him an extra long and well deserved goodnight hug and kiss.  He licked my face like he always had and I went to bed and finally got a really good night's sleep since I did not have to worry anymore.

The next morning I woke up and Charlie was on the floor, he had gone to the Rainbow Bridge where Dogs go to wait for their Masters to reunite with them one day, a place where there is no more pain.  Charlie was gone...

My female Dog, Angel was lying next to him, licking his face, trying to wake him up.   I approached them both and Angel began to cry...  I lifted Charlie's front paw and let it go and it dropped to the ground lifeless, and I just lost it...  My world was suddenly upside down and my heart was torn to shreds and I cried and cried...  I felt like I just lost my son.  I couldn't go to work.  My brother and my dad came over to help me, we took Charlie away and buried him.  My friends and family members came to see me throughout the day, everybody loved Charlie, and they were in shock just like I was.  I just knew there was something more going on here, so after a few days, I began to do some digging.

I found hundreds of heartbreaking online reviews about C&D Animal Hospital and I checked the Ohio Veterinary Licensing Board's website in Columbus.  What I found out that day destroyed me...  Not only was Brandi Tomko NOT a licensed Veterinarian, but she wasn't even a licensed Vet Technician!  She was a regular person!  Every customer that walked into that Hospital thought she was a doctor and we were all deceived.  Brandi knew the doctor language very well and did a fine job of deceiving everybody.  She never once told me that she was not the doctor.  I was furious!  I should have known better!  I should have seen the signs.

Next, I filed a complaint with the State Vet Licensing Board and got the Department of Agriculture involved, along with Tim Harland of the Summit County Humane Society. Tim Harland told me that in 18 years of doing his job, Charlie's story touched him the most.  Both of these men started doing some digging of their own and found that all the medicine in the Hospital was expired and that there was no doctor on staff.  At one point, the electric had been shut off to the Hospital and an extension cord was seen running to the neighboring business next door.  I worried about the safety of the Animals left inside their cages.

One of my Tenants at my place of employment owns "Pet Labs," the company that Brandi used to examine Charlie's blood sample, his name is Erhardt Bell.  Erhardt told me that he never received an order to analyze Charlie's blood for any diseases, he only had an order to do a basic health panel on his blood, but Brandi charged me for the full blood work.  This means that Brandi made up the whole diagnosis and I will never know what actually killed my boy.

Brandi called me after two days and I told her what happened.  She whipped up some tears and began to panic, she knew she was busted.  She told me that a doctor was on staff and that she did everything he told her to do.  I told her I didn't believe her and that I bet I could show a picture of Charlie to that doctor and he would say that he never saw Charlie before.  It turns out that he and other doctors there had quit because they were not being paid the amount they were promised.  I think Brandi knew at this point that the party was over.

At this point I pulled up her Summit County criminal records and found three pages of bad news.  She was busted many times for drugs, drinking and driving and theft, among other charges.  Brandi also had a lot of records in Portage County, and even a few charges in Medina County.  I thought to myself, this woman must be a con artist and a serial criminal, it seemed that nothing could stop her.  Here she was practicing medicine without a license, distributing dangerous expired drugs and stealing from people in a deceptive manner by not informing people that she was not a doctor.  She was also accepting cash only, so I'm sure she never paid any taxes on all that money.  The lobby was packed full the night of April 12, 2011 and she made a killing! I also found out that Brandi was forging past Doctor's names in order to purchase medication for the hospital and was committing major fraud, and even destroyed one Doctors credit.  These Doctors didn't even work there anymore.  Brandi was in way over her head. Next I contacted Dick Goddard from Fox 8 News and the I-Team.  I emailed them my story, but nobody ever wrote back.  Finally I emailed the prosecutor's office and Detective Null took the case.  I made a Police Report and got the ball rolling.

I know that telling my story and having this Monster put away will not bring Charlie back, but I have to do this for two reasons.  First of all, I need some closure and Charlie deserves some closure too so he can finally rest in peace, and second of all, I will not allow her to ever hurt another animal again.  The courts must be sick and tired of seeing her face in their courtrooms and wasting tax dollars.  You can't Sue in the State of Ohio over the loss of a Pet.  I beg the court to give Brandi Tomko the maximum Prison sentence allowed by law.

Until you have loved a Dog, a part of your spirit remains unawakened
I Miss You Charlie Boy!  1998 - April 13, 2011

Comments: Mr. Dubinsky, thinks he is god and nearly killed my dog.  My dog named Chewy is an adorable 3 y/o shih tzu. He contracted Lyposporous and Tick Disease because of this incompetent arrogant jacka$$Dubinsky my dog nearly died. Basically, he didn't take the appropriate tests. A total misdiagnosis!  Lypo causes CRE AND BUN to sky rocket resulting in renal failure. Mr. Dubinsky never tested for lypo or Tick disease and doesn't even vaccinate for Lypo at his hospital. After $1,000 worth of tests and all he came up with is Chew has permanent damage to his kidney and doesn't know what is causing it. I asked him nicely (CRYING) what is causing the renal failure?? He become somewhat angry and told me he's not concerned about what is causing it. He wanted to treat it! I asked him about antibiotics? He replied that will only cause more damage. Well, it saved his life!

So, this man knows my dog is dying of renal failure (CRE 6.4). Instead, of immediately putting him on 24 hour iv and hospital care. He gave him a 5 min sq fluids and sent him home for the weekend!! My dog become even more ill and I decided to go to another doctor who took the proper tests. He found the Lypo and Tick Disease. What an epic failure on Dr. Dubinsky's part! Maybe miss the Lypo but how did he miss the tick disease??!

My dog is now feeling so much better and would of died if I continued with Dr Deathinksy. I feel bad for the other dogs coming into his office with this treatable disease and eventually die. I called his office to tell him that Chewy had Lypo. I was NEVER rude to anyone! He refused to speak to me and honestly couldn't care less. WTF?! I spent over $1,000 in his office for a poor diagnosis and to deal with a really cruel evil man. I honestly would pay another $1,000 to have 15 minutes in the octagon with this conceded man.

Sincerely,

LaBoy.

Comments: My dog was diagnosed with diabetes. The doctor prescribed the wrong dosage of syringes. The dosage was not high enough, and because they did not fix the prescription, my dog developed cataracts. Which I had to pay $2300 to fix. Further more my Dog had blood in her urine, when I took he to see what the problem was the doctor did some ex-rays and said that she could have a bladder infection, and they would have to run several more tests to check to see (test that cost in the hundreds of dollars).

I got a second opinion, the new dog asked if James Island had checked to see if she had a urinary track infection due to the fact she was a diabetic (which apparently was the first test they should have run). It turned out that was the problem.
When I when back to James Island, and told they that I felt as though they were taking advantage of a young person who main concern was for their pet, they told me not to worry about the charges for the x-rays.
Come to find out that put it against my credit.

Comments: I brought my dog for the first time to pet supplies plus for her shots. She is a 4lb. chiuahah. Dr. Dimmick was the one to give her her shots. He grabbed her out of my hands, saying, "give me the dog!" She was not comfortable with the way he snatched her and began wiggleing around and snapping at him. He literally shoved her roughly back into my arms, saying " I need to find someone who can handle her!", in a very rude, mean tone. I was accompanyed by my 14 yr. old son and my cousin. I said, "I will hold her." He told me to put a muzzle on her. I did. I guess I put it on backwards and my cousin laughed innocently. He then proceeded to scream at her saying, "I'm glad you find this amusing" then yelled at me saying "you couldn't even put a muzzle on right!" I was shocked. He then took the two shots and stabbed them into her skin. He was very cruel in doing this. My dog screamed out in pain. He did not explain to me what shots he had given her or anything. I had to ask the cashier up front. When he was done, I proceeded to tell him how rude he was and that he must have picked the wrong practice since he shows such a pure hatred for animals and their owners. I could not believe this. I told my friend about it and she said she experienced the same thing with him with her dog. He made her lift her 140lb. dog all by herself to the table and when the dog moved around uncontrollably he yelled at her to control her dog! The dog barked and he told her to tell her dog to be quiet that he was disturbing the other animals! He also stabbed the shot into her dog so hard that it caused a lump for weeks. This man was so cruel and mean. I will never bring my dog back to him and will tell everyone I know to do the same. He should lose his liscence.

Comments : Good Morning, I am writing to you with the hope that you can help guide me in the right direction. My cat, Lil Buddy, became ill Friday March 16,2012. My husband took him to the Forked River Animal Hospital with Dr Donald Force. We were told he had a blocked bladder. He was catherized for two hours and my husband was told to come back then. He did. Upon his arrival, my husband was told that he had re blocked and that the vet needed to keep him overnight. My husband left him there. We picked him him up the following morning at 1130 am at the request of the vet's office. When we arrived, I questioned Dr Force  on what, if anything we needed to look for and he told us that he is fine, waived his hand in the air and told us he would be fine. We took Lil Buddy and went home. We watched him over the next few hours and noticed that he was lethargic and urinating all over himself. We called the office and they had already left for the weekend, which is why I am guessing we were rushed out the door. They had an emergency number for a different animal hospital. Being worried we called. They told us that it could be from the pain meds and to just keep an eye on him. So we did just that. The following morning, Lil Buddy had not progressed at all so we called the emergency number back. They told us to bring him in to be examined. When we arrived, the vet asked us if blood work or x rays had been done. We told her no and explained the plan of care that was given. She was not happy with that and said that labs should have been done to check kidney levels, etc. She did the labs and found that his levels were so high that the machine would not read them and brain damage had set in. She also found his glucose to be over 400. Ultimately putting Lil Buddy to sleep was the most humane thing to do. When asked, she thought if Lil Buddy had been treated Friday with aggressive IV to flush out his system, he probably would not have become so sick. She also stated that to her with a blocked cat, labs are standard. In the following days, I called different vets and did some research on blocked cats and found that labs are pretty normal treatment in the care of a blocked bladder. I decided to write to the vet and question his plan of care and ask for a refund. Much to my surprise was his nasty response which I have copied below. I am writing to you to ask for your help. I do not feel it is ok to treat people the way this office has treated not only our cat, but when questioned about plan of care and refund, have we have been treated. Any help in this matter will be very much appreciated.
